Michael Bruce Jeff, Judson
There's Michael early this year at Torn Ticket Headquarters in Houston.  TTP Headquarters is a section of Jeff's busines JDI.  That's him and Judson Pendelton outside JDI.

Then, came the formation of the Michael Bruce Group (Michael Bruce: Guitar, Vocals, Keyboards   Vito: Guitar,   Will Hudgens: Bass,   Troy Powell: Drums)  and the first thing they did, of course, was PLAY PLAY PLAY!  Jeff booked the debut of the MBG at Cardi's in Houston and let our friends on the net know first.   Judson Pendleton was such a fan that he flew in from Birmingham Alabama just for this show, and won the award for having come the longest way to see the MBG so far.   Reward is, among, a million other benefits, is a copy of MB's new video with special guest Richie Scarlet "Caught in the Act" Michael Bruce Live at Cardi's 3/28/98.  Even though it's just a two camcorder edit with camcorder sound, we can't get enough of it. The MBG plays the songs like they were meant to be played.  Having been heard for the first time in 24 years, MB's licks on "My Stars, Second Coming, and MOL bring back some great memories. That video, and other MB offerings can be found at the PRODUCTS section of this website.

Heidi Heidelberg, Jeff Jatras
Heidi and Jeff.  Same place, same date, 3/28/98, and the first pics of the MBG in action.   Below, for the last two songs, MB's buddy Richie Scarlet dropped in to help out with "Left For Dead Meat" and "School's Out".  Richie and Michael are in a mutual admiration society, and they can't seem to get enough of each other.

That's Jennifer Rogers.  She's a friend of the family.  Jennifer Rogers and Heidi Heidelberg came to the show.  Heidi and Jennifer also flew to Phoenix with Jeff after he arranged for MB to play at Alice's Charity benefit in May.  That was the first time Alice had a chance to see MB play in almost 25 years, so it was very important.   MB was great on School's Out and Muscle of Love that night.  Alice was nice enough to come sit with us (aah what pretty girls will get you!, lol) for part of the show.  Rock Rolls On, eh?
Jeff, Bryan, Joe, Judson
Ok, there's Jeff, a fan, Joe Bates and Judson at Cardi's.

Finally, what they'd all been working toward.  A tour.  The MBG toured the Northern States. The tour including some great pictures available from Dallas TX, Lansing IL, and also the big get together in Clarion, Iowa for the Glen Buxton Memorial Weekend as Jeff and Heidi drove up from Houston to St. Paul MN to meet up with the MBG working it's way down to Iowa to pay tribute to Glen, and unveil his new tombstone generated through contributions.

Also, earlier that year, Jeff established contacts with the Chiller people and arranged for MB, Neal, and Dennis to be booked at the CHILLER THEATRE CONVENTION (run by Tony Sassano) in Secaucus, NJ on Oct 30, 31, and November 1. It went fantastic and you can see pics by clicking here.  Michael, Neal, Dennis, and Richie Scarlet signed autographs all weekend, and Michael, Neal and Richie played that Saturday night with Dead Elvis.  BTW, at Michael's table at Chiller was his special guest Jennifer Lavoie, Playboy's Playmate of the Month, August 1993. She signed some autographs and gave Heidi Heidelberg tips on the business. Check out her website to see some pretty good pics!!!! While they were there, they stopped into the studios of MTV, caught a Motley Crue and met with old friends, including Sebastian Bach. It was a very cool weekend.

In November, the MBG played at the DC Chiller show, this time with a special appearance of Neal Smith on drums.  Michael, Wil, and Neal rocked the house that Saturday night,  after which Richie Scarlet took over on lead and with Wil and Neal proceeded to demolish the joint in a frenzy of Rock and Roll late into the night.  Click here for some pics from that night.

In December, a series of non-coincidences ( as manager Jeff made sure MB was at the right place at the right time) brought about the reunion of ACG members Alice Cooper, Michael Bruce and Neal Smith, together again on the same stage for the first time since 1974 as everyone came to Phoenix to celebrate the opening of Alice's new sports bar "Cooperstown".  Even Shep was there!  The night was absolutely surreal as Coopers'town brought forth the music of the ACG.  They boys kicked off with "No More Mr. Nice Guy", then into "Muscle of Love", "Is It My Body", "Desperado" and finally "Billion Dollar Babies".  Not bad for no rehearsals in 23 years!!!!  Click below to see pics from the big event!
