"Over the last couple of years, I've taken a lot of negatives in to this local mom and pop photo lab. The guy that runs the place is about my age (44) and he really knows his stuff as a lot of places just decline to work on some of the odd formats I've brought in.

After developing the Nazz series, he commented on the prestine condition of the original negatives stating that usually such are long since scratched and/or moldy and wondered how these could have remained in such great shape.

He's right. It's really fortunate that somehow the whole set remained mostly intact and inside their original onion skin sleeves for all these years most likely never having been touch since original developed and printed.

It was tempting to crop the pictures during the scans and cut out what might be considered superflous scenery, trees, grass, poles, building, etc, in order to home in better on just the guys without so much download time. However, after looking at the high resolution results, it's obviously better to have kept the entire images intact. Not only was it an incredible stroke of luck to have even come across these prestine shots, but the clarity almost brings you to feeling like you're there. All those details even down to the style of tennis shoes, numbers written on the pole, and the other details are part and parcel of the entire experience of seeing these images in their original state.

Some of the images are in pairs, others in threes, and others are single images. As I get the chance to scan and upload, I will eventually get most if not all of them out to see, download, etc.

Each image is shown on the page in thumbnail format.  However, if you click on the image you will see a high resolution scan of the image so clear in detail that you almost feel like your there:
